He's a Boise restaurateur who helps troubled eateries turn around and he's also the latest member of Treasure Valley Consultant's Network. Jim Balis is the owner of Complete Asset Management Company (CAMCo), The Restaurant Management Group and LuLu's, a New York-style pizzeria near the base of Bogus Basin Road.
The lesson learned from Jim during these troubled economic time is to pay close attention to where your money is going. In our businesses, we sometimes overlook things that seem minor on the surface but in reality they can be a slow leak that is costing you money. Can you be more measured in your products and services? If you find areas of waste, eliminate them!
You don't have to sacrifice quality to save money, and the money you do save can be put toward more important things that will have a greater impact.
