Over the weekend I was surprised to hear about the news of the passing of J.R. Simplot.
As a native Idahoan and resident of Boise for more than 10 years, J.R. Simplot's life proved two things to me. First, it's not too uncommon for someone to live for almost a century and make a significant impact on the world we live in. Second, as successful as he was, J.R. proved that if you can make it in Idaho you can make it anywhere!
Hard work and a little luck - that was his secret to success.
