Kickstand Launches Entrepreneur Resource Network

Last night I had the pleasure of attending Kickstand's October Meeting as they unveiled a new project called the Entreprenuer Resource Network (ERN).

The ERN is a new online service provided by Kickstand where entrepreneurs can gather, collaborate and demonstrate how their knowledge and expertise on a given subject can be value added to other entrepreneurs, especially those who are start-ups or companies in a growth phase.

I'm really excited about this project because it works under the same premise as Treasure Valley Consultants' Network. Here's how:

  1. It provides a forum to attract and gather entrepreneurs, consultants, business professionals, etc., in one place to create a community. People network and share ideas within that community by collaborating and exchanging knowledge on various subjects.
  2. It provides a resource for the business community as a whole to see who is in their own backyard to help them solve specific business problems or bolster areas where they may not be fundamentally sound.
This is a very exciting time to be in business for yourself in the Treasure Valley. It's especially exciting when we have resources like these available to help promote ourselves among our peers and the business community at large.

By now I'm sure you are asking yourself, "Self - how much does this cost?"

The answer is nothing.

The ERN is free and open to any serious business professional who would like to be listed and contribute to the Network. All you have to do is register on the site to gain access. Once you gain access you can build a profile for your business, write a description and a summary of how your products and services add value to other entrepreneurs registered in the network or businesses who access the site to find the right professional to help with their specific business problem.

The ERN is built on a wiki platform, so you can contribute to a glossary of terms or add your own content, just to name some of the features available. I encourage the TVCNet membership and other independent business professionals give it a try. Also, if you find benefit from creating a profile on the ERN, return the favor to Kickstand by joining their organization. It's a great way to reach out and get involved in the local tech community and their membership dues are no more than what we charge for TVCNet.
